Balance of the first half of the month! (From 02 to 17,
September, 2013)

On September 2nd,
I made a general presentation of the project, in a meeting with students and
parents about the project. I explained all the steps, and the achievements
until now! In the morning, the staff of “Estúdio Pé de Nuvem” gave us support,
took photos and recordings. I tried to explain all of my goals, to leave no
doubt in the air! For this, I presented the project in Power Point, and had the
support of Professor Voigt Maicon, who made a more dynamic presentation using
the tool Prezi (he, who teaches Geography, and Suzi, my colleague who teaches
English Language, both did a great project last year with students over
Slovakia (available at: http://diariodeumgeografo.blogspot.com.br/2012/02/intercambio-brasil-eslovaquia.html) I also presented
a video about what an Yearbook is (available: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4SpUWpiqt_k) I showed photos,
printed and handed to everyone who was present the report that came out in “A
Notícia” newspaper, and craft to get gifts and donations. During the meeting
with the 6th year A, were present the mothers of John and Thainá and
Larissa Ochner’s sister. And in the meeting with the 6th year B, the
mothers of Gabriel and João, and the aunt and uncle of Andressa were present.
On Tuesday, the 3rd,
we received donations of Dr. Regina and her husband Dr. Ataíde, both
psychiatrists, who saw in the newspaper, liked the project and decided to help
by donating blue EVAs (to the poster of the daily weather), 500 sheets of
paper, and 1 pack of cardboard. I was very happy with the donations! Thank you!

On day 4th,
I had a very special visit! My former supervisor of English Language from the Department
of Education of Joinville, donated two beautiful paintings for the project, and
bought the book "Goodbye,
China!" To help us! Look how perfect they are, aren’t they? Nowadays, she
is retired and in her free time, she does volunteer work, teaching artistic
design for people of different ages, from children to adults. Before, she was
in the ‘Iririú House’ (http://casaculturaliririu.blogspot.com/), but as it is closed for
renovations, she is in the ‘Brazil House’ (http://www.fundamas.com.br/main.asp?link=indep&id=383), which is at the back of the Nurse
Hilda Anna Krisch Municipal School, in Jardim Iririú.

The 4th day
was also marked by a very special event! It was the end of the American School
Volunteer Project, with the English teachers of the Municipal Schools. On two
Tuesdays of each month, from April to August, we had meetings, studied, learned
techniques, resources and strategies to teach languages. The workshops were
productive and funny. We learned a lot with the teacher and coordinator
Charlotte, and Luciana and Aunt Miriam, Directors and Administrative
Coordinators. Aunt Miriam had extensive experience in English teaching to
children, and owner of the American School of Joinville. The atmosphere is cozy
and thematic. It is no coincidence that already exists in the city for over 20
years! Besides this, we had contact with Teacher Igor Alves, born in
Florianópolis, who lived many years in the United States, the american Daniel
Walston, from Georgia, Annette Gueth, from Germany, Pradeep Dsouza, from India,
among others.

On September 6th,
the 6th year A, knew a bit of the general routine of the class, and
we did the photo shoot for the school. Unfortunately, as we had some setbacks,
the class was short, and not everyone could stay a few more minutes to take the
photos. The school counselor Rita talked with the students, and spoke about the
existence of projects that aim to offer several options for students to occupy
the best time productively. Waldir was a student cited for example that greatly
improved his performance after begin his participation in projects.
Congratulations, Waldir! Keep it up, serving as a good example to your
colleagues!

In the afternoon, still
on Friday the 6th, I filmed and photographed the students of the 6th
year B, on the last day of the Civic Session Civic of the Homeland Week. This
week, the hymns of Joinville, Santa Catarina, Independence, and of the flag.
This was done in all Municipal Schools of the city.

On September 9th,
the students of the 6th year, finished the flashcards. As we were
without Internet, we could not make the postcards. With the 6th year
B, of the afternoon, luckily, we had internet, and made the cards in the little
time we had. The result was better than I expected! I was very happy!

On September 11th,
I met the two exchange students who are developing a project on Nurse Hilda
Anna Krisch Municipal School. Both girls were, coincidentally, indicated by
Matheus Pires, President of AIESEC, who told me that they would be in Joinville,
and could help with my project. One is German, Özlem Taskiran, and another
Italian, Floriana Montesano. On this day, I helped the girls with the
mediations with the 9th graders, my ex-students of last year. The
idea is very interesting, and has the objective to compare the 3 countries, and
to realize the cultural similarities and differences between them.

On September 13th,
we had the long-awaited lecture on exchange. Marlene, from AF Agency, presented
the different types of exchanges that exist, spoke about the curiosities, and answered
several questions that students had. The lecture was very interactive, and I
was happy with the participation of all! Thank you, Marlene, for your kindness,
and students for your cooperation!

Yesterday, Monday,
the 16th, the 6th year, finally managed to start the postcards. I took
the opportunity, and printed 500 crafts of the “Action among friends” that we
will try to sell to collect money to pay for the documentary. Now, we need the
signature of the president of the Association of Parents and Teachers!
For now that’s it,
folks! In the coming days, I will put a balance describing everything that has
financially raised until now!

VERSÃO EM PORTUGUÊS
Balanço da primeira quinzena do mês! (De 02 a 17 de Setembro de

No dia 2 de Setembro, fiz uma apresentação
geral do projeto, em reunião com os alunos e pais sobre o projeto. Expliquei
todas as etapas, e as conquistas até agora! No período matutino, o pessoal do
Estúdio Pé de Nuvem nos deu apoio, fez fotos e gravações. Tentei explicar todos
os meus objetivos, para não deixar nenhuma dúvida no ar! Para isso, apresentei
o projeto no Power Point, e tive apoio do professor Maicon Voigt, que fez uma apresentação
mais dinâmica na ferramenta Prezi (ele, que leciona Geografia, e Suzi, minha
colega, que leciona Língua Inglesa, ambos fizeram um ótimo projeto no ano
passado com os alunos, sobre a Eslováquia (disponível em: http://diariodeumgeografo.blogspot.com.br/2012/02/intercambio-brasil-eslovaquia.html) Além disso, apresentei vídeo explicativo
sobre o que é um Yearbook (disponível em: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4SpUWpiqt_k), mostrei fotos, e entreguei impressa
para cada um que estava presente a reportagem que saiu no Jornal A Notícia, e o
ofício para conseguirmos brindes e doações. Na reunião com o 6º ano A, estavam
presentes as mães do João e da Thainá, e a irmã da Larissa Ochner. E na reunião
com o 6º ano B, compareceram as mães do Gabriel e do João, e a tia e o tio da
Andressa.

Na terça-feira, dia 3, recebi doações de Dra. Regina e o marido Dr.
Ataíde, ambos médicos psiquiatras, que viram no jornal, gostaram do projeto e resolveram
ajudar doando EVAs azuis (que estão sendo feitos quadros para analisarmos as
condições climáticas diariamente), 500 folhas de papel, e 1 bloco de
papel-cartão. Fiquei muito feliz com as doações! Muito obrigada!!

No dia 4, tive uma visita muito especial!
Minha ex-supervisora de Língua Inglesa da Secretaria de Educação de Joinville,
doou 2 pinturas maravilhosas para o projeto, e comprou o livro “Adeus, China!”
para nos ajudar! Vejam como são perfeitas, não é mesmo? Atualmente, ela está
aposentada e, no tempo livre, faz trabalho voluntário, ensinando desenho
artístico para pessoas de diferentes idades, desde crianças até adultos. Antes,
ela estava na Casa Iririú (http://casaculturaliririu.blogspot.com/), mas, como está fechada para reformas,
está na Casa Brasil (http://www.fundamas.com.br/main.asp?link=indep&id=383),
que fica nos fundos da Escola Municipal

O dia 4 também foi marcado por um evento
muito especial! Foi o encerramento do Projeto Voluntariado da Escola Americana,
com os professores de inglês da Rede Municipal de Joinville. Em duas terças-feiras
de cada mês, desde Abril até Agosto, fizemos encontros de estudo, e
aprendizagem de técnicas, recursos e estratégias para o ensino de línguas. As
oficinas foram produtivas e divertidas. Aprendemos muito com a professora e coordenadora
Charlotte, e Luciana e Tia Miriam, Diretoras
e Coordenadoras Administrativas. Tia Miriam têm vasta experiência no ensino de
inglês para crianças, e é a proprietária da Escola Americana de Joinville. O
ambiente é temático e acolhedor. Não é por acaso que já existe na cidade há
mais de 20 anos! Além disso, tivemos contato com o
professor Igor Alves, nascido em Florianópolis, que morou anos nos Estados
Unidos, o americano Daniel Walston, de Geórgia, Annette Gueth, da Alemanha, Pradeep
Dsouza, da Índia, entre outros.

No dia 6 de Setembro, com o 6º ano A,
conhecemos um pouco da rotina geral da turma, e fizemos sessão de fotos pela
escola. Infelizmente, como tivemos alguns contratempos, a aula foi curta, e nem
todos puderam ficar alguns minutos a mais para tirarmos as fotos. A orientadora
escolar Rita conversou com os alunos, e falou da existência de projetos que têm
como objetivo oferecer diversas opções para os alunos ocuparem melhor o tempo, de
forma produtiva. Waldir foi um aluno citado de exemplo que melhorou muito seu
rendimento, após ter iniciado a participação em projetos. Parabéns, Waldir!

No período vespertino, ainda na
sexta-feira dia 6, eu filme e fotografei os alunos do 6º ano B, no último dia da
Sessão Cívica da Semana da Pátria. Nesta semana, os hinos de Joinville, de Santa
Catarina, da Independência, e da Bandeira. Isso foi feito em todas as Escolas Municipais
da Rede.

No dia 9 de Setembro, os alunos do 6º ano A, terminaram os
flashcards. Como estávamos sem Internet, não pudemos fazer o cartão postal. Com
o 6º ano B, da tarde, por sorte, tínhamos internet, e fizemos os cartões no
pouco tempo que tivemos. O resultado foi melhor do que eu esperava! Fiquei bem
feliz!

No dia 11 de Setembro, conheci as duas
intercambistas que estão desenvolvendo um trabalho na Escola Municipal
Enfermeira Hilda Anna Krisch. Foram estas que, coincidentemente, Matheus Pires,
presidente da AIESEC, havia me avisado que estariam em Joinville, e poderiam
ajudar com meu projeto. Uma é alemã, Özlem Taskiran, e a outra italiana, Floriana
Montesano. Neste dia, ajudei as meninas com as mediações com os 9ºs anos, meus
ex-alunos do ano passado. A ideia é bem interessante, e tem o objetivo de
comparar os 3 países, e perceber as semelhanças e diferenças culturais entre
eles.

No dia 13 de Setembro, tivemos a tão esperada palestra sobre
Intercâmbio. Marlene, da Agência AF, apresentou as diversas modalidades de
intercâmbio que existem, falou de curiosidades, e tirou diversas dúvidas que os
alunos tinham. A palestra foi bem interativa, e fiquei feliz com a participação
de todos! Obrigada, Marlene, por sua gentileza, e alunos, pela colaboração!

Ontem, segunda-feira, dia 16, o 6º ano A
finalmente conseguiu iniciar os cartões postais. Aproveitei a oportunidade, e
imprimi as 500 Ações entre Amigos que tentaremos vender para arrecadarmos
dinheiro para pagar o documentário. Agora só falta o presidente da Associação de
Pais e Professores assinar!
Por enquanto é isso, pessoal! Nos próximos
dias, colocarei um balanço descrevendo tudo o que já arrecadamos
financeiramente até agora!
